Our 'Boost Your Confidence and Communication Skills for Job Searching Success' course is here to help you build the positive mindset and self-assurance you need to take that first step! This course is designed for anyone who wants to get ready for the job search process by boosting their confidence, improving their communication skills, and creating a solid foundation for success.

You’ll learn how to shift your mindset, embrace challenges, and develop a strong sense of belief in your abilities—key steps to preparing for a successful job search journey. Whether you're just beginning to think about a career change or re-entering the job market, this course will help you feel more confident and empowered to take action.

What You’ll Learn:
- How to develop a positive, growth-focused mindset for your job search.
- Confidence-building techniques to overcome self-doubt and trust your abilities.
- Strategies to reframe negative thoughts and boost self-esteem.
- How to set achievable goals to make the job search less overwhelming.
- Practical tips to improve communication skills and express yourself confidently.
- Resilience techniques to stay motivated and handle setbacks.

By the end of this course, you’ll feel ready to take the first steps in your job search with a positive mindset, newfound confidence, and the skills to communicate effectively throughout the process!
These courses are fully funded, and are of no cost to the service user.

In order for us to continue to offer these courses free of charge, we require learners to attend 100% of their learning programme, to experience the full benefits to their emotional health and wellbeing.

By the end of the course, you should be able to -
• Boost your self-confidence by practising two techniques to trust your abilities and track your progress.
• Set three realistic goals for your job search and monitor your progress.
• Build resilience by learning two techniques to stay motivated and reflect on your focus.
• Improve your communication skills by practising confident self-expression and report on your progress.

Prosp User 3
Your tutor will assess your learning and progress throughout the course through ongoing observation, question and answer, tasks, and exercises. Your progress will be recorded on your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and your tutor will provide you with ongoing feedback to support you

You do not require any formal experience or qualifications to enrol onto this course.

Prosp User 5
• You will be expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course. Please do not book holidays in term time and let us know of any planned absences before you start the course. If you do not attend for 2 consecutive sessions, without prior notice you may be withdrawn, and this will reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.

• Learners may complete an Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey to help us identify and support these needs appropriately.

• We use a mixture of classroom based and online learning for classwork and homework.

You will need a notepad and pen for your first session and your tutor will advise you on further materials if needed (Please do not purchase any materials before the first session).

Yes. There are various ways to support your learning, subject to your individual circumstance and type of programme, please ask your tutor or the centre staff for more information on the following:
• Additional funding to pay for resources.
• Laptop, Loan and Learn scheme
• Homework Club
• Additional support within the classroom

You will be invited to the EHW Google Classroom, where you will find useful tips and advice on how to support your mental health, along with up to date information and invites to additional courses.

Information on further courses linked to the Emotional Health and Wellbeing programme will also be given to your tutor or you can telephone 01895 556248 for further advice and guidance.

The Emotional Health and Wellbeing (EHW) programme is designed to help you to build your resilience, improve your confidence and set goals for your future, however big or small. Along the way you will meet new people, learn something new, and have access to opportunities in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Prosp User 8
• You can give your views through your ILP, course evaluation forms, surveys and our Compliments, Comments and Complaints forms which can be found in Centre offices.
• You may also choose to become a course representative for your class. Course Representatives can then stand for election onto our Learner Council

Prosp User 9
• We want you to enjoy your learning experience and feel safe, equal and respected while you are here with us. If you have any concerns, please report it to a member of staff or directly to a Designated Safeguarding Officer as soon as possible.

• To ensure that our learners can communicate with each other safely we offer a variety of functions in Google suite. We strongly discourage the use of other social media groups such as Whatsapp, which rely on personal data being shared.
