Knit and Natter for Wellbeing - Experimental Weaving Techniques (fabrics and patterns)
The intention of this short course is to introduce learners to weaving and knitting as a way to improve mental health and overall well-being. It focuses on the basics of getting started with weaving and knitting. Engaging in weaving and knitting can help reduce stress, improve focus, and promote relaxation.

• Demonstrate how to complete basic weaving techniques.
• Create a basic weaved project."

Your tutor will assess your learning and progress throughout the course through ongoing observation, question and answer, tasks, and exercises. Your progress will be recorded on your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and your tutor will provide you with ongoing feedback to support you

You do not require any formal experience or qualifications to enrol onto this course.

"Please note –The course will only go ahead subject to sufficient enrolments. You will be expected to attend every session, please let us know of any planned absences before you start the course. If you do not attend for 2 consecutive weeks, you may be withdrawn. This will also reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.

You will need a notepad and pen for your first session and your tutor will advise you on further materials if needed (Please do not purchase any materials before the first session).

"You will be invited to the EHW Google Classroom, where you will find useful tips and advice on how to support your mental health, along with up to date information and invites to additional courses.

You can give your views through your ILP, course evaluation forms, on-line questionnaires and our Compliments, Comments and Complaints forms which can be found in Centre offices. You may also choose to become a course representative for your class, which your tutor will discuss with the class at the start of your course.
