This course will enable you to build upon your knowledge and skills to become a more experienced practitioner and be able to take on more responsibility.
The Early years Educator Level 3 Diploma is for those who wish to increase your knowledge and practical skills. The qualification is for those working in early years and settings, including pre-schools, playgroups, crèches, day nurseries, children’s centres and play schemes.

By the end of the course, you should be able to

• Apply policy and procedures of Health and well-being into daily practice.
• Explain what Legislation, frameworks and professional practice is for Early Years settings.
• Demonstrate skills and support to promote play, learning and development for school readiness.
• Reflect upon and develop own professional development.

The course is continuously assessed by your tutor. They will use a variety of assessment methods such as a workplace observation, written assignments, professional discussions, case studies and question and answer sessions to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding.

You will need to attend a skills assessment before you can enrol. You will need to evidence that you are employed within an Early Years setting. You MUST have a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check) hold a recognised level 3 quaification. You will need to be able to use both written and spoken English to at least Level 2 standard.You will also need basic Digital Skills, this is essential to be able to successfully participate in online sessions as you will be required to work on online platforms such as Google Classroom and Moodle. Learners may be offered additional English, Maths and digital support where appropriate.

You will be expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course. Please do not book holidays in term time and let us know of any planned absences before you start the course. If you do not attend for 2 consecutive sessions, without prior notice you may be withdrawn, and this will reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.
