Intermediate Floristry (Plus)
"The intent of this course is to widen knowledge, improve your creative and employability skills and enhance your professional portfolio. This course is designed for those who have completed the Level 2 Certificate in Floristry or who have had sufficient industry experience.
A programme which results in a City and Guilds, Level 2 Diploma in Floristry. This course consists of the 7 units taken from the ten units full Diploma.
Candidates are shown a variety of basic skills and techniques to enable them to construct a varied range of floral arrangements and Wedding Designs, Business and Display work. Candidates will also cover the elements and principles of floral design.
You will also need to ensure that you allow sufficient time for self-study and complete any homework set, we would recommend 2 – 3 hours per week.
Health and safety will be embedded in the session."

You will record your progress through your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and your tutor will provide you with ongoing feedback to support you. "

Assessment for applicants is based on interest and ambition and whether you have achieved the Level 2 Certificate in Floristry. Literacy and numeracy is considered through the completion of an online skills assessment. Please allow up to 2 hours for this to take place.

You will be expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course. Please do not book holidays in term time and let us know of any planned absences before you start the course. If you do not attend for 2 consecutive sessions, without prior notice you may be withdrawn, and this will reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.

On the first session, please bring a strong pair of scissors or secateurs if you have them, note pad/pen and £15 to cover the cost of the flowers.

"There are several routes with which you can take, including progressing onto the Advanced floristry (Level 3 Certficate in Creative Craft Floristry in Floristry) flower arranging or workshops. We also offer several Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Horticulture.
