Savvy Savers: Homemade Body care essentials
To help you to improve your knowledge of how to be more sustainable and eco-friendly, whilst also saving money and getting creative. You will be using common household ingredients to make a homemade body scrub and recycled materials to store it in. You will be shown how to dress it up and present it as a gift to impress your friends and family. You will also learn just how much money this will save you compared to purchasing pre-made items.

At the end of the course you will be able to:
* Identify ways of becoming Sustainable (re-use, re-cycle, re-purpose)
* Understand the basic mathematical concepts behind cost saving ideas.
* Plan, Prepare and Create a homemade body scrub and how to store and jazz it up for the festive season.

Open What experience or qualifications do I need to start this course?

This course is not available for those who already hold GCSE Mathematics (grades A - C only) or Functional Skills Mathematics Level 2

Open Important Information

• You will be expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course. Please do not book holidays in term time and let us know of any planned absences before you start the course. If you do not attend for 2 consecutive sessions, without prior notice you may be withdrawn, and this will reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.

• Learners may complete an Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey to help us identify and support these needs appropriately.

• We use a mixture of classroom based and online learning for classwork and homework.

• You may also choose to become a course representative for your class. Course Representatives can then stand for election onto our Learner Council
