Learning for everyday life: Get to know your Android smartphone
The intent of this workshop is to increase your confidence in using your Android Smartphone.
Smartphones are so much more than just phones, but with so many features and functions they can feel overwhelming! Designed for complete beginners, this workshop will take you through the main features and controls of your own Android Smartphone, change accessibility settings to make it easier for you to use and get to grips with useful apps.

By the end of the course you should be able to:
- Identify the main features of your device
- Use basic controls and gestures to interact with your device
- Identify accessibility settings which can make devices easier to use
- Access and open an app

Your tutor will monitor your progress through ongoing observations, quizzes and tasks and give you feedback to support you.

This course is designed to improve your basic digital skills and confidence and could form part of your pathway to develop your digital skills for everyday life, learning and work.
