Flower Arranging: Summer garden delights
"The intent of this course is for those interested in Flower arranging, for everyone of all abilities, with or without prior knowledge. This course will investigate your creative skills; investgating ways of growing your own flowers and foliage suitable for flower arranging and keeping costs to a minimum. If you are looking for an opening into the world of floral design, then this is the course for you. It is suitable for complete beginners and those who have an artistic flair. The tutor is a Local and national area Demonstrator, is well known in flower arranging circles and has many years’ experience in entering competition work and teaching.
English, Maths and Digital Skills will be embedded in the course. Please note: All learners are expected to attend 100% of their course and arrive 15 minutes before their class starts.
All learners are required to complete a weekly online Indiviual Learning Plan and adhere to Health and Safety in the workshop.

"At the end of the course, you should be able to -
● Identify seasonal flowers and foliage .
● Investigate correct conditioning techniques of seasonal plant materials.
* Upcycle those vases, using artistic techniques
● Plan, prepare and create a variety designs sourcing materials for free from the local area or your own garden.
● Display creations of work correctly.
● Photograph designs to produce as evidence on individual learning plan (ILP)."

Attendance and punctuality are vital to your progress and success in your learning. Therefore, you are expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course. You will also need to be able to submit assignments by the deadlines set by your tutor, which you will complete outside of the weekly class time. All classes are asked to complete the Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of their course. This enables us to see whether learning has a positive impact on wellbeing and it also enables us to identify and help people who need support.

You may also choose to become a course representative for your class, which your tutor will discuss with the class at the start of your course.
