Cuisines from around the world: Spanish cooking for beginners
The intent of this course is to introduce you to the rich culture of Spain through food.
If you are a tapas or paella lover, why not learn to create a range of Spanish dishes under the instruction of our tutor, so that you can enjoy a taste of Spain from home.

Open What will I learn?

By the end the course you will be able to:
- Identify alternatives to meat that may be used when creating balanced meals
- Follow a recipe to create a meat-free dish
- Demonstrate safe food preparation and handling techniques

Open How will I be assessed?

Your tutor will assess your learning and progress throughout the course through ongoing observation, question and answer, tasks and exercises. Your progress will be recorded on your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and your tutor will provide you with ongoing feedback to support you.

Beginners welcome, no experience required

Open Important Information

Please inform us of any food allergies or intolerances prior to enrolment. We are unable to guarantee that food allergens will not be present in the kitchen, but aim to cater for your needs wherever possible.

Open Is there anything I need to bring? Are there any other costs?

You will be provided with a list of ingredients before the sessions take place. You will also need to bring a suitable container to take your food home with you.

Open Can I get extra help?

Yes. If you think you might need some additional support with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff for more information about our learning support offer.

We welcome views from our learners in a number of ways. You can give your views through your ILP, course evaluation forms, on-line questionnaires and our Compliments, Comments and Complaints forms which can be found in Centre offices. You may also choose to become a course representative for your class, which your tutor will discuss with the class at the start of your course.
