Botanical illustration
The intent of this course is to use your existing drawing and painting skills to create book illustrations, whilst enhancing your wellbeing through this creative activity.
Under the instruction of your tutor you will explore the relationship between illustration and text, as well as layout and composition in order to create illustrations that can beautifully complement and enhance written textT

At the end of the course you should be able to:
- Draw objectively from real flowers and images
- Produce at least one watercolour study on paper

Your tutor will assess your learning and progress throughout the course through ongoing observation, question and answer, tasks and exercises. Your progress will be recorded on your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and your tutor will provide you with ongoing feedback to support you.

This course is designed for people with some drawing and painting experience. If you are a complete beginner, why not try our 'Get Started with Drawing' or 'Get Started with Painting' courses

You may also choose to become a course representative for your class, which your tutor will discuss with the class at the start of your course.
