Balloon Artistry an Introduction
The intent of this course is for all abilities, to build knowledge, enhance your creative and employability skills . Whether you are starting your journey, developing your skills, re affirming prior knowledge or looking for creative inspiration, join us for a fun and instructive 4-week course. This course will cover the basic practical skills required to create a variety of balloon designs.

Please note: All learners are expected to attend 100% of their course and arrive 15 minutes before their class starts. If you do not attend for 3 consecutive weeks, you may be withdrawn. This will also reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.
All learners are required to complete a weekly online Indiviual Learning Plan and adhere to Health and Safety in the workshop.

At the end of the course you should be able to –
• Demonstrate correct conditioning techniques of seasonal plant materials.
• Plan, prepare and create a variety of floristry designs.
• Display creations of work correctly.
• Photograph designs to produce as evidence on individual learning plan (ILP).

No formal qualifications are necessary, just a keen interest in balloon decor and a bit of creative flair.

Attendance and punctuality are vital to your progress and success in your learning. Therefore, you are expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course. You will also need to be able to submit assignments by the deadlines set by your tutor, which you will complete outside of the weekly class time. All classes are asked to complete the Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of their course. This enables us to see whether learning has a positive impact on wellbeing and it also enables us to identify and help people who need support.

There are no specific job opportunities, however this will enhance your creative skills and could improve your employability skills such as working as part of a team and communication skills.

You can give your views through your ILP, course evaluation forms, on-line questionnaires and our Compliments, Comments and Complaints forms which can be found in Centre offices. You may also choose to become a course representative for your class, which your tutor will discuss with the class at the start of your course.
