Dance Exercise Intermediate
The intent of this course is to continue to exercise through dance. This course will show you how to warm up and teach you some limbering routines which can be applied every day at home to improve posture and flexibility. You will be able to learn intermediate level steps to a variety of dance styles, using different music timings and rhythms. This course will offer you an opportunity to make new friends and have some fun.
This course is suitable for learners who have already successfully completed at least one Beginner’s Dance Exercise course and been recommended by the tutor.
Each lesson will start with “warm up/limbering” routines to prepare the body for dance and finish with a cool down routine and stretches. Students will be encouraged to try all styles of dance. If any style is not favoured by the majority of the class it may not be repeated.
All course dances and helpful or interesting information will be uploaded to the Intermediate Dance Exercise page on Hillingdon Moodle which can be accessed outside the classroom for further study. Login details will be available during the first lesson.
