Calligraphy Improvers
The intent of this course is to further your Calligraphy skills, an intricate craft steeped in history, which like other creative outlets, can contribute to your wellbeing. This course will build on your existing skills and knowledge to allow you to improve your practice.
Throughout the course you will work on individual pieces as well as contributing towards a collaborative project with your peers.

At the end of the course you should be able to :
- Select and use a variety of appropriate tools and materials
- Write with a calligraphic nib
- Plan, draft and produce a page of text in your chosen script.
- Plan, prepare and complete a collaborative project
- Critically reflect on your completed work

Your tutor will monitor your progress through observation, tasks and activities.
You will record your progress through your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and your tutor will provide ongoing feedback to support you.

This course is designed for people with some calligraphy experience, ideally through completing our Calligraphy Beginners course.

You will need: - Plain cartridge paper, preferably A3 size. - A pencil - A ruler. If you have previously completed a calligraphy course, please bring any existing calligraphic tools and materials with you. Additional costs should not exceed £30, depending on materials chosen. Please do not purchase any additional items before the course starts, your tutor will advise during the first session.

You may also choose to become a course representative for your class, which your tutor will discuss with the class at the start of your course.
