Get Started with Smartphone Photography: nature and landscapes
The intent of this course is to take better photographs on your smartphone.
Spending time outdoors has multiple health and wellbeing benefits and photos are a great way of capturing the views that nature has to offer. This course will help you to explore the functions and techniques you can use to capture landscapes and the nature around you using your smartphone.

Open What will I learn?

At the end of the course you should be able to:
- Identify the functions available on your own smartphone camera
- Identify suitable modes capturing photos of landscapes and nature
- Identify and apply simple composition techniques
- Capture photos of landscapes and natur

Open How will I be assessed?

Your tutor will assess your learning and progress throughout the course through ongoing observation, question and answer, tasks and exercises. Your progress will be recorded on your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and your tutor will provide you with ongoing feedback to support you.

Beginners welcome, no experience necessary.

Please bring your phone, ensuring it is well-charged for the session. Please note that camera specifications vary depending on the make and model of your smartphone, your tutor will support you to get the most out of the functions available on your device.
