It’s important to remember that counsellors utilise life experience to empathise with client’s needs, but must remain emotionally detached and professional at all times. Occasionally, students can struggle with this if they have not fully emotionally healed from adversity in their own lives. Therefore, we reserve the right to recommend a different vocational route for some applicants at any stage of their counselling routes.
This course will be practical and you will be required to produce an portfolio of evidence to meet the course criteria.
The course will include workshops, seminars, personal development workshops and training group work, projects and presentations, reviews of skills, understanding and reviews of learning.
