This workshop will give you an insight into the creative world of contemporary design. completed a contemporary flower arranging course before, this course will add to your continued personal development.

Open What will I learn?

At the end of this course you should be able to:
● Adhere to health and safety requirements in the workshop.
● Identify seasonal flowers and foliage (Autumn).
● Organise, prepare and create a Contemporary Autumn floral hand tied design incorporating a structure.
● Display creations of work correctly.
● Apply best practices on how to care for your designs at home.

Open How will I be assessed?

You will complete a 1 day event form (ILP - individual learning plan)
Your tutor will provide you with feedback on your design, including ways of improving for the future.

Open What experience or qualifications do I need to start this course?

You do not need any prior qualifications. Experience is helpful, but not necessary.

Open Important Information

Please note – the course will only go ahead subject to sufficient enrolments. Important information Attendance and punctuality are vital to your progress and success in your learning. Therefore, you are expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course.

Open Is there anything I need to bring? Are there any other costs?

You need to bring a pair of strong scissors and a tool box IF you already have one. All flowers and sundries will be supplied on the day. You will be able to take the flower arrangement home, but the vases/containers will stay in the workshop.

Yes. If you think you might need some additional support with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff for more information about our learning support offer.
