Supporting Teaching and Learner Level 2 Certificate (+ Employability L1)
The intent of this course is to provide you with an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in a school setting and environment. It is suitable for learners working or volunteering for 6 hours a week, in roles that support pupils’ learning and development including teaching assistants, learning support assistants and special needs assistants.
All classes are asked to complete the Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of their course. This enables us to see whether learning has a positive impact on wellbeing and it also enables us to identify and help people who need support.
Please note: All learners are expected to attend 100% of their course and to arrive 15 minutes before the start of their class.
If you do not attend for 3 consecutive weeks, you may be withdrawn. This will also reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.
You will also need to ensure that you allow sufficient time for self-study and complete any homework set, we would recommend 3 – 4 hours per week
