The intent of this course is designed specifically for learners who have little experience with Horticulture to develop knowledge, investigate creativity and enhance social and employability skills. You will learn how to sow various types of seeds, suitable for the season, undertake various weed control systems, make compost look at soil types and cultivate herbs.
You are expected to be punctual and attend 100% of this course, if you do not attend for 3 consecutive weeks, you may be withdrawn. This will also reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.
English, Maths and Digital Skills will be embedded in the course.
All classes are asked to complete the Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of their course. This enables us to see whether learning has a positive impact on wellbeing and it also enables us to identify and help people who need support.
