Get Started with Floristry: Handtied Bouquets
The intent of this course is for all abilities, to build knowledge, enhance your creative and employability skills and add to your portfolio. Whether you are starting your journey, developing your skills, re affirming prior knowledge or looking for creative inspiration, join us for a fun and instructive 5-week course. This course will cover the basic practical skills required to create a variety of wedding designs. You will use seasonal foliage, flowers and accessories to create your designs and take home to enjoy on the run up to wedding season. The materials are here for you when you arrive at the cost of £12 per session, paid weekly at reception. You may bring your own flowers weekly if you prefer.
--------------------------------------
Please note: All learners are expected to attend 100% of their course and arrive 15 minutes before their class starts. If you do not attend for 3 consecutive weeks, you may be withdrawn. This will also reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.
All classes are asked to complete the Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of their course. This enables us to see whether learning has a positive impact on wellbeing and it also enables us to identify and help people who need support.

Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, we are working under new social distancing guidance and we will be introducing blended learning. This is a way of learning remotely without being in regular face-to-face contact with your tutor in a classroom setting. You will be using online and video platforms to help you achieve this. Your tutor will work closely with you to complete your course.

This course gives you the opportunity to obtain flower arranging skills but does not lead directly into employment. The focus is on creativity and understanding the practical mechanics needed to create beautiful designs with flowers for the home.
