Preparing to Work in Schools Level 1 Award ( + employability E3 + English)
This intent of this course is to increase your knowledge, practical and employability skills and prepares you for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. It covers areas such as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and their development.
This is a qualification course and is suitable for all adults who would like to volunteer or progress towards work in a school setting. The course will give you an insight into the different roles that exist within schools.
All classes are asked to complete the Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of their course. This enables us to see whether learning has a positive impact on wellbeing and it also enables us to identify and help people who need support.
Please note: All learners are expected to attend 100% of their course and to arrive 15 minutes before the start of their class. If you do not attend for 3 consecutive weeks, you may be withdrawn. This will also reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.
