Caring for Children Level 1 Award ( + employability E3 + English)
The intent of this course is to increase your knowledge, practical and employability skills. This is a qualification course and is suitable for all. This child care course builds an understanding of the essential knowledge and skills needed to care for children. It covers children's growth and learning and development.
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to, or already working in child care, as well as anyone wanting to develop parenting and life skills. The course will give you an insight into the different roles that exist in a childcare setting, including nurseries, schools, Children’s Centres and pre-schools. You will be able to discover the skills and knowledge that you would need to have in order to apply for those job roles. All classes are asked to complete the Emotional Health and Wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of their course. This enables us to see whether learning has a positive impact on wellbeing and it also enables us to identify and help people who need support. Please note: All learners are expected to attend 100% of their course and to arrive 15 minutes before the start of their class. If you do not attend for 3 consecutive weeks, you may be withdrawn. This will also reduce your chances of joining another course in the future.
